Credit Card Processing Tips:

In today’s  electronic world more and more people are using credit and debit cards to pay for their purchases.  As a small business, credit card processing is a great opportunity to receive payments.  One benefit of accepting credit cards instead of a personal check is that credit/debit cards are more secure.  If you accept a bad check that transaction is between you and the customer. The vendor is responsible for collecting on a bad debt.  Once a credit/debit card is approved, the credit card company will pay you. Before you contract with a credit card processor, consider the following:

· Don't enter into an equipment lease.

· Have the company provide you with a sample statement on how they bill.

· Does the company have local representation?

· Does the company offer 24 hour 365-day customer care?

· Get references.
